Pre-assembled to save installation time. The Solar HeatGuard™ is designed to provide ease of installation. The thermostatic 3-way diverting valve is mounted in a 16" x 26" x 4" enclosure with integrated system air vent and pressure relief valve. The removeable cover is designed to accommodate the mounting of a 10 - 30 watt PV panel (not included) to power system pumps. There is ample room inside the enclosure for supply and return solar piping through roof penetrations hiding them from view. The Heat Dissipator is designed for mounting on the frame above the header of a SOLUS™ 30 evacuated tube solar collector and is pre-plumbed for bypass operation with the pump operating and thermosiphon operation with the pump off or in the event of a pump failure. Solar HeatGuard™ HG-830 can also be used for flat plate collectors with a total combined width of 8 ft.
